Priessnitz’s Medicinal Spa is located under the Jesen�ky Mountains. With its architectonic style, the spa dominates the wide valley of the town Jesen�k. Vincenc Priessnitz, after discovering the medicinal effects of the cold spring water, founded the spa centre around the year 1820. In 1822, out of his own family home, he built the first world hydropathic institute. Standard treatment procedures performed by specialists and combined with the Jesen�k spa exceptional climatic and geographical conditions, make the fresh air a healthy component of the treatment during your stay. A rich cultural programme includes the annual Franz Schubert international piano competition and promenade concerts in the spa park. At the spa, tennis courts, mini- golf, pool and fitness are available, as well as mountain bikes.
