A chateau and former castle located on the banks of the Vltava River. The last important constructional changes date from 1849-1860, when architect B. Grueber gave the facade of the castle its present Neo-Gothic appearance. In 1719 the castle became a residence of the Schwarzeberg family. Its interiors contain rich collections of hunting trophies, carvings, the castle library, and sculptures. The park surrounding the castle with its crypt of the Schwarzenberg family is also worth seeing.
