Castle Mlnk
30 km north of Prague
Mlnk, the centre of Bohemian wine production, is situated on the confluence of the Rivers Vltava and Labe. In the past, Mlnk used to be the widow-seat of the Czech queens. The high tower (60 metres) of the Romanesque St. Peter-Paul church is the local landmark, while Mlnk Castle (actually in the possession of the aristocratic family Lobkowicz again since 1993) with its terraces and a wine restaurant overlooking the vinyards adds grandeur and beauty to the scene. During the dinner you have the possibility to enjoy the fine taste of the local wine in the original wine cellar.
