Velehrad
An ancient Slavonic site famous for the arrival of two Byzantine priests (The Apostles of the Slavs) Cyril (Constantin) and Methodius to the Great Moravia in 863. Former Cistercian monastery was built here in 1220. Pope John Paul II served the Pontifical Mass here on 22. 04. 1990. |
